Al-Barra' bin 'Azib (Abu Umarah) رضي الله عنه.

[For Illustration Only]

His nickname or kunyah is Abu 'Ammarah رضي الله عنه. His father, 'Azib bin al-Haris رضي الله عنه, was also one of the Companions of Rasulullah ﷺ.

He converted to Islam at a young age and was one of the companions of Rasulullahﷺ who was unable to take part in the Battle of Badr because he was not yet mature. He was then able to participate in the battle of Uhud and all the wars that followed together with Rasulullah ﷺ. It is recorded that he took part in around 15 battles with Rasulullah ﷺ.

Al-Barra`رضي الله عنه was one of the residents of Madinah (Anshar) who took part in the Ridhwan bait, an event of taking an oath of allegiance to Rasulullah ﷺ carried out by Muslims in response to the news of the murder of Usman bin Affan رضي الله عنه in Makkah which was later classified as fake news.

During the reign of Caliph Umar رضي الله عنه, he took part in efforts to liberate Iraq and the lands of Persia (now Iran). He was recorded as the leader of the troops in the effort to conquer and liberate the city of Ray, which was one of the areas that gave birth to many Muslim scientists in the future.

After all the efforts and fighting were finished, he then decided to stay in the city of Kufa. Al-Barra رضي الله عنه ` was one of the friends who supported Ali bin Abi Talib رضي الله عنه in the battle of Jamal and Shiffin so he was respected by the Shiites. This friend also played a role in the efforts of Caliph Ali bin Abi Talib رضي الله عنه in fighting the Khawarij.

It is truly a glory when children grow and develop and navigate their teenage years while Rasulullah ﷺ was still alive. A glory and happiness that is not only felt by them, but also by their parents.

The children who will be the next generation of the people have seen the Prophet ﷺ, believed in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as Rasulullah ﷺ, and enjoyed the religious training of Rasulullah ﷺ directly. And don't forget, they can also listen to his truthful words and record them, to be conveyed to the people at a later date. How beautiful their life is!

NAME Al-Barâ bin ‘Âzib Radhiyallahu Anhu

Al-Barâ` bin 'Âzibرضي الله عنه bin al-Harits Abu Umârah al-Anshâri رضي الله عنه one of the Companions of the Prophet who falls into the category of shighârus Shahabah. It can be seen that Rasulullahﷺ refused to take part in the Battle of Badr which occurred in the 2nd year AH. This is enough to show that he was still young, not yet 15 years old. About that, Al-Barâ` bin 'Âzib رضي الله عنه said, "Rasulullah ﷺ still looked at me and Ibn 'Umar were not old enough at the time of the Battle of Badr. He also rejected us. So, we did not take part in the Battle of Badr. At that time, Ibnu 'Umar and I were of the same age."

In full, the name of our current character is Al-Barâ` bin 'Âzib bin al-Harits bin 'Adi bin Majda'ah bin Hâritsah bin al-Hârits bin al-Khazraj bin 'Amr bin Mâlik bin Aus al-Madani al-Hâritsi al -Auction. Chewing Abu 'Umârah or Abu 'Amr.  His father 'Âzib bin al-Hârits was one of the Ansar who had embraced Islam for a long time. And Al-Barâ رضي الله عنه embraced Islam with his father. There is not much information about his father.

Meanwhile, the mother's name was Habîbah bint Abi Habiibah bin al-Hubâb bin Anas bin Zaid from Bani Mâlik bin an-Najjâr. Another opinion states that his mother was Umm Khâlid bin Tsâbit bin Sinânرضي الله عنه bin 'Abîd bin Tsa'labah bin 'Ubaid bin al-Abjar Khudrah bin 'Auf bin al-Hârits bin al-Khazraj. Thus, her mother is still related to Abu Sa'id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه because she is the daughter of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه's uncle, Sinân bin 'Abid al-Khudri رضي الله عنه .

Meanwhile, al-Hâfizh Ibn Hajar Rahimahullah summarized the biography of Al-Barâ` bin 'Âzib رضي الله عنه in Taqrîbu at-Tahdzîb by saying, "Al-Barâ` bin 'Âzib bin al-Hârits bin 'Adi al-Anshâri al-Ausi. A Companion of Rasulullah ﷺ son of a Companion of Rasulullah ﷺ. Living in Kufa. He is still seen at the Battle of Badr. He and Ibn Umarرضي الله عنه were of the same age. Died in 72 AH"
