ZAHID AL ASWAD رضي الله عنه MARRIED IN HEAVEN

(Youth who is willing to sacrifice his beautiful dreams for the sake of Allah's call)

In the time of Rasulullahﷺ, there lived a young man who was less handsome and had black skin. He was so black that he was nicknamed Al-Aswad So he became known as Zahid Al-Aswadرضي الله عنه. He is 35 years old but has not yet married. He lived in the Suffah (alley) of the Madinah mosque.

There lived a young man named Zahid who was 35 years old but had not yet married. He lives in the Suffah mosque of Madinah. When he was suddenly kissing his sword the Messenger of Allaah 'Alaihi Wasallam came and said his greetings.

Zahid was stiff and answered a little nervous. !!!

"O Messenger of Allah, I am someone who doesn't have a permanent job and my face is ugly, who wants to be with me, Rasulullah?"

"As long as you want to, it's an easy matter!" said RasulullahHe lives in the Suffah mosque of Madinah.

When he was suddenly kissing his sword Rasulullah came and said his greetings. Zahid was stiff and answered a little nervous. !!!

"O my brother Zahid ... all this time you alone," Rasulullahﷺ greeted
الله معاك
"Allah is with me, O Messenger of Allah," said Zahid. While being submissive, he could not see his .. ..."I mean why have you been single, you don't want to get married ...," said Rasulullah.

Zahid replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a person who does not have a permanent job and my face is not handsome, who wants me, O Messenger of Allah?"
"As long as you want, it's an easy matter !!!!" said the Messenger of Allaah 'Alaihi Wasallam. Smiling.

Then Rasulullah ordered his Companions to make a letter which was to apply to a woman named Zulfah bint Said, the son of a noble of Madinah who was famous for being rich and famous for being very beautiful. Finally, the letter was taken to Zahid's house, and Zahid himself handed over to Said's house.

Because at Said's house, there was a guest, then Zahid after giving greetings then gave the letter and was received in front of Said's house.

"O my brother Said, I have brought a letter from Rasulullah which is noble given to you my brother.

Said replied, "It is an honor for me."
Then the letter was opened and read. When reading the letter, Said was somewhat astonished by the Arab tradition of marriage that had always been a nobleman must marry a noble and the rich must marry a rich man. Finally Said asked Zahid: "O my brother, is this letter true from the Messenger of Allah?" Zahid replied, "Have you ever seen me lie ..."

In such an atmosphere Zulfah came and said:
"O father, why is it a little tense with this guest ... isn't it better to invite in? "
"O my son, this is a young man who is applying for you to be his wife," said his father.

It was then that Zulfah saw Zahid crying and said:

"O father, many handsome and wealthy young men all want me, I don't want father ...!" Zulfah feels herself insulted.
So Said said to Zahid, "O my brother, you know that my son does not want ... not that I prevented him and told Rasulullahﷺ that your application was rejected."
Hearing the name of the Apostle called his father, Zulfah stopped crying and asked his father: "O father, why carry the name of Rasulullah?"

Finally Said said, "This application upon you is the command Rasulullah."
So Zulfah istighfar several times and regretted the impropriety of his actions and said to his father:

"O father, why since then, Dad did not say that the one who applied for this was Rasulullah, then soon I must be married to this young man. Because you remember the word of God in Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nur 24: Verse 51"

"Verily the answer of the believers, if they are called to Allah and His Messenger so that the apostle punishes (judges) among them is the utterance. We hear, and we obey. And they are lucky people."
(Surah An-Nur 24: Verse 51)

On that day Zahid felt his soul flying into the sky and this time he felt unequal happiness and immediately stepped home.

Arrived mosque he is kneeling thankful. Even the noble Apostle smiled as Zahid's movements were different from usual. "How is Zahid?" "Alhamdulillah, it was accepted by Rasulullah," answered Zahid. "Are there preparations already?" Zahid bowed his head and said, "O Apostle, we have nothing."

Finally, Rasulullah told him to go to Saiyidina Abu Bakarرضي الله عنه, Saiyidina Usmanرضي الله عنه, and Saiyidina Abdurrahman bin Auf رضي الله عنه to help him get money to get married. After getting enough money, Zahid went to the market to buy marital preparations.

Soon after arriving at the market and at the same time, there was an announcement of Jihad to uphold the religion of Allah Azzawajal. Zahid began to be confused to determine his attitude "to marry or fight for the religion of God.

Finally, he tried to return to the mosque. When Zahid arrived at the mosque, he saw the Muslims were ready with weapons, Zahid asked, "What's this?"
The friend replied, "O Zahid, today the unbelievers will destroy us, so do you not know?"

Zahid istighfar several times while saying, "Wow, if so I will buy the married money for the best armor and horse, I would prefer jihad with Rasulullah and delay this marriage.
The companions advised him, "O Zahid, tonight your honeymoon, but you want to fight?" Zahid answered firmly, "That has been the determination of the Heart with Al Mustafa of the Messenger of Allah for jihad" Subhan Allah !!!!!
Then Zahid recited the Qur'anic Verse before the Companion of Rasulullah as follows:

"If your fathers, children, brothers and sisters, family wives, possessions, trade that you are concerned about loss and residential houses that you like, you are better than loving God and the Apostle He (with) jihad in His way. So wait until God brings His decision. And Allah does not guide the wicked. "
(Surat at Taubah: Verse 24)

Finally, Zahid (Aswad) advanced to the battlefield with great fighting, many of the kafirins were killed in his hands, and in the end, he met his shahidan, and died in defense of the Prophet's creed.

The war is over, the victory is taken by the flag of the Apostle. A dusk full of blessings when Rasulullah examined one by one that had fallen in the way of Allah, as Shuhada Allahu azzawajal. Looks from a distance The figure of a blood-drenched young man with a sword wound formerly !!!!

Rasulullah approached the young man's body while putting his head on his lap. This Great Man Habiballah hugs him while crying teru2: "Aren't you Zahid who wants to marry tonight ????" but you choose the pleasure of Allah, jihad with Me. "

Soon Rasulullah smiled and turned his face to the left because of shame because a beautiful angel from Heaven picked up the spirit of this young man while revealing his legs, so that the calf's senses made the Messenger of Allah be ashamed. Rasulullah said: "Today Zahid is honeymooning with an angel who is more beautiful than Zulfah."

Then Rasulullah recited the Qur'an;
"Do not think that those who died on the path of Allahﷻ are dead, even those who live by their Lord get sustenance. They were joyful because of Allah's blessings, and they rejoiced at those who still lived behind who had not followed them and were not saddened".
[Surah Ali Imran Verse 169-170.]

"And do not say to those who fall in the way of Allahﷻ, (that they are) dead, even (actually) they are alive, but you don't realize it. "
[Surah Al Baqarah: Verse 154].

It was then that the friends shed tears and Zulfahpun said, "O Allah, how happy my future husband is, if I cannot accompany him in the world, then allow me to be with him in the Hereafter."
