Jubair ibn Muṭʽim (Arabic: جبير بن مطعم), was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He accepted Islam in 628 or 629 after initially being an opponent.
Until 3 BH (620 CE), Jubair was engaged to Abu Bakr's This arrangement was canceled by mutual consent in May or June 620: Abu Bakr wished to accept Rasulullahﷺ's proposal for Aisyah رضي الله عنه while Jubair's parents did not want him to be influenced into becoming a Muslim.
In September 622, Jubair was one of those involved in an unsuccessful plot to kill Rasulullahﷺ.
At the Battle of Uhud Jubair bribed his slave Wahshy ibn Harb with manumission to kill Hamzah ibn 'Abdul Muttalib رضي الله عنه because Hamzah had killed Jubair's uncle at Badr.
Jubair bin Muth'imرضي الله عنه, adopted Islam in the period between the Hudaibiah Treaty (628) and the Conquest of Makkah (630) and then settled in Madinah.
Jubair bin Muth'imرضي الله عنه, had two sons, Nafi, described as "prolific in relating tradition, and Muhammad said to have been "the most learned of the Quraysh". However, his kunya, Abu Abdullah, indicates the possible existence of another son named Abdullah. A member of the Nawfal clan of the Quraysh tribe in Makkah, he was the son of Mut'im ibn 'Adi.
I came to Madinah while Rasulullahﷺ was leading the Maghrib prayer by reciting surah ath Thur. I listened carefully with an open heart, a melodious voice, an arrangement of surahs that melted the steel of logic until it melted and lifted my imagination to the horizon of Islam.

Imam Al Bukhari (1/265) and Imam Muslim (1/338) rahimahumallah narrated, that
Jubair bin Muth'imرضي الله عنه, listened to the Rasulullahﷺ reciting surah Ath Thur during the Maghrib prayer. When it comes to the verse;
Or were they created without an origin or did they create (themselves)?" (Qs. At Thur: 35)
My heart almost came out of its place and flew", said Jubair. Another narrator said,
My heart almost burst".
(HR. At Thabarani in al mu'jam al kabir 2/116, al Baihaqi in syu'abul iman 2/488, Abu Ya'la in his musnad 13/332, and Ahmad in his musnad 4/85).
Maybe we wonder how powerful the influence of the Qur'an is? Until Abu Adi, رضي الله عنه trembled, threw his heart into the air? Ibn Kathir said: "This is the foundation of God's existence and the unity of God."
Ibnu Katsir, may God have mercy on him, analyzed that the verse heard by Jubair established the Tawheed of God's rabbinicness and His universality, are they the ones who created all of this universe, did all of this happen without anyone creating it? A question that does not need an answer because the answer is not this and not that either, in fact, it is God who creates, and creates everything that did not exist before.
And Ibn Hajar said: "Al-Khatabi said: It was as if he was disturbed when he heard this verse to understand its meaning and to understand what it contained, so he understood the argument and understood it gently, and that is from his saying: . Ibnu Hajar quotes the words of Al Khathabi, "It's as if his heart is upset when he listens to the above verse because he understands the content of the meaning, clearly knows the meaning, so that he understands the argument and is able to grasp the message with the tenderness of his heart, Or are they created without an origin or those who created (themselves)? They are not more capable of creating the heavens or the earth. There was a dialectic, a mutual inner war reflected by the strong influence of the verses of the Qur'an, at that time he did not immediately convert to Islam. /March 627 AD), and other opinions at the time of Fathu Makkah (eighth year of the Hijri/ 10 January 630 H), apart from that it is definitely the effect of the spirit of the Ath Thur letter that became the guiding factor for him to convert to Islam.

Lessons that can be learned:
1. The importance of listening and listening to the Qur'an, does not mean that the murottal is set in the mall or in all public places, although it is an added value that in all malls in Saudi you will not listen to music with all its trends, until now is a big question mark in the heart, What is the correlation between music and trade? Is this the reason for the expression that the market is a gathering place for rough and gentle creatures?
2. The strong logical arguments of the Qur'an are very easy for unbelievers to accept, more convincing, and run on autopilot in their entirety.
3. The importance of conveying the essence of the truth, because many obstacles stand in the way, separating from faith so that if this truth departs directly from its source, it will be more accepted than many infallible thoughts...let the scriptures speak.
4. A dai does not need to be in a hurry with the result or the repentance of a sinner, because time will prove the result of a person's inner battle to achieve the truth...as expressed that: "الحَقُّ أَبْلَجُ والَاطِلُ لَجْلَجٌ" "The truth is clear and falsehood is doubtful".
5. Worldly interests, and material tendencies sometimes become the beginning of the door of guidance, until suddenly surprised by the dawn of guidance in the blind morning breaking the darkness of the dark night, who wants it or not, whether he likes it or not, he will definitely receive the truth.

Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali's commentary on his Islam Jabir bin Muth'im'
Al-Quran is a book full of strength and beauty, its beauty is capable of channeling an energy that makes a person's heart tremble and increases his obedience to Allah SWT.
In addition, the beauty is what makes the Jinn subdue, the pledge that the Quran is amazing and makes them believe in Him.
With its beauty, al-Quran was able to guide one Sayyidina Jubair bin Muth'imرضي الله عنه, who at that time was still in a state of disbelief, moved after hearing the Prophet SAW read surat at-Thur.

In a hadith, Sayyidina Jabir bin Muth'im's broken heart is described in the sentence:

"Almost, my heart flew (listening to Rasulullahﷺ read surat at-Thur)"Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali in his book, "Namudzaj min at-Tafsir al-Maudhu'i lil Quran al-Kariim" expressed his admiration, out of his admiration he repeatedly repeated surat at-Thur, which part made Sayyidina

Jubair bin Muth'imرضي الله عنه, suddenly decided to convert to Islam. The first part of this letter, it is impossible to make Sayyidina Jabir's heart almost fly, because the beginning of the verse gives an impact of fear in the human soul,
"Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will surely happen. No one can reject it,” [Q.S. at-Thur: 7-8]
Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali searched again and again, which verse made Sayyidina Jubair's heart almost fly until he read the middle of the surah, he strongly suspected that these verses shook the heart of Sayyidina Jubair.
The verse begins with the words of Allah SWT:
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ"Then continue to give warnings, and you, due to the favor of your Lord, are neither a fortune teller nor a madman." [Q.S. at-Thur: 29]
Further in a row, the next verses feature a word that can make someone's heart to riot, the word is أم which in the literary method should be paired with hamzah istifham.
As many as 15 times, this letter presents the usbul (structure), as much as al-Thur invites his listeners and readers to reflect on its content, questioning their beliefs that cannot be digested by reason.
In his mind, these verses were able to touch the heart of Sayyidina Jabir, to the point of being moved and following the teachings of the Rasulullahﷺ.
