Shuhaib tried to reject the Quraish's accusations with tongue-in-cheek. When they were unaware, Shuhaib رضي الله عنه climbed on the back of his camel and fled towards the Sahara. Knowing that, Quraish followed him and their efforts were almost successful.

Shuhaib رضي الله عنه then offered the Quraish who wanted to arrest him by showing where his property was stored on the condition that the Quraish would release him. Quraish accepted the offer. After showing where his treasure was kept, Quraish let Shuhai رضي الله عنه migrate until he succeeded in catching up with Rasulullah. At that time Rasulullahﷺ was sitting surrounded by several companions, when unexpectedly Shuhaib رضي الله عنه said his greetings.

Rasulullah who saw him exclaimed with joy, "Lucky trade, O Abu Yahya! Lucky trade, O Abu Yahya!"

Then came down Surah Al Baqarah verse 207,

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَّشْرِيْ نَفْسهُ ابْتِغَاَۤ مَرْضَاتِ اللِّّ ۗوَاللهُ رَءُوْفٌۢ بِالِْبَادِ 207

Meaning: "Among humans there are people who sacrifice themselves to seek the pleasure of Allah. Allah is Most Merciful to (His) servants."

Indeed, Shuhaib رضي الله عنه redeemed himself as a believer with all his wealth. Shuhaib did not feel the slightest loss because his wealth was not very important to him. In addition to his piety and piety, Shuhaib رضي الله عنه is cheerful and funny.
