An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه,

ANu'man ibn Bashirرضي الله عنه was a friend of Rasulullah from the Ansar group who was born in the year 1 Hijrah. This means he is the same age as Abdullah ibn Zubairرضي الله عنه.

An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was a companion of RasulullahHe belongs to a group of friends from among children. Among other friends who are the same age as him is Abdullah bin Zubayrرضي الله عنه. He was born to his mother 'Amrah bin Rawahah, 14 months after Rasulullah arrived in Madinah. Therefore, he is considered the first baby among the Ansar who was born after the migration ofRasulullah while Abdullah bin Zubayrرضي الله عنه (grandson of Abu Bakrرضي الله عنه) was the first baby born among the Muhajirin.

After An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنهwas born, his mother took him to see Rasulullah and he told him that An-Nu'manرضي الله عنه would live happily, would die as a martyr, and will enter heaven. An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was killed in Homs, in the year 63 Hijrah.

An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه father was one of the companions and members of Badr named Bashir bin Sa'adرضي الله عنه. While his mother is the sister of Abdullah bin Rawahahرضي الله عنهAn-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه uncle, Abdullah bin Rawahahرضي الله عنه was also a member of Badr and a poet of Rasulullah.

Among the interesting stories in his family is the story of his father giving part of his property to An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنهAn-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه mother did not agree with the gift, so Bashir took her son An-Nu'manرضي الله عنه to meet Rasulullah to ask about it.

An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه narrated: My father gave me a portion of his property in charity. Then my mother said: "I don't like this gift until you testify to the Messenger of God first. Then my father went to tell Rasulullahﷺ about his charity to me. Then Rasulullah, asked: "Do you give all your children such a gift? The answer: "No". The words of Rasulullah, "Fear God and be fair to your children, then my father took back the gift

His birth together with Abdullahرضي الله عنه succeeded in denying the slander of the Jews of Madinah as well as giving moral support to the Muslims at that time.

Rasulullah said that later he would be martyred in a battle.

In addition to being the same age, AnNu'manرضي الله عنه was a close friend of Abdullah ibn Zubairرضي الله عنه. His leadership talent attracted the attention of Abdullahرضي الله عنه and Nu'manرضي الله عنه was appointed as Governor when the Hijaz region was under the authority of Abdullah ibn Zubairرضي الله عنه.

In defending his territory, An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was killed in a battle against the kingdom of Bani Ummaiyyah under the rule of Marwan bin al-Hakam.

From al-Nu’man bin Basyi

Meaning: "In the past, Rasulullah would straighten our ranks until it was like straightening an arrow. Until when his majesty saw that we had understood his majesty's demand to straighten the ranks. One day he came to the mosque and he stood up to pray and was about to perform "Takbiratul ihram", suddenly he saw a man coming out or facing his chest from the row, then he said: "Oh all servants of God, you should all straighten your ranks or God will definitely divide your hearts."

An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه, a famous friend of Rasulullah and An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was one of the friends who never worshiped idols because An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was born in the 14th month after the migration. Rasulullah migrated, in the second year of the 14th month after the migration, An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was born.

So An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was the first child born to the people of Madinah after Rasulullah came to Madinah. His name was An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه, he died in Syria in the year 65H when he was 63 years old.

Among the famous hadiths about him is that when he was born, his father Bashir brought al-Nu'man to meet Rasulullah and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have given a lot of my wealth to this son of mine, this An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه. I ask you to be a witness to the gift." Then Rasulullah asked Bashir, the father of this al-Nu'man: "Have you also given the same gift to your other children?" Bashir answered: "No. I only gave it to Nu'man."

Why gentlemen? Because An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was the first son of a Medinan born in Madinah after the Messenger of Allah came to Madinah. He feels like his son is special. Then Rasulullah said: "Go and get another witness from me, because I will not be a witness for a wrongful act." The Prophet said so.

The only important thing about An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه is that you should know, that An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه was one of the companions who did not have time to worship idols. Besides him, there are other friends who have never worshiped idols. Who among them? Abdullah bin al-'Abbasرضي الله عنه.. Why did I say Abdullah bin al-Abbasرضي الله عنه. did not have time or never worshiped idols? Because when Rasulullah demised, Abdullah bin al-'Abbasرضي الله عنه. was only 13 years old, some say 15 years old. So when Rasulullah arrived in Madinah, he was only 3 years old.

So of course he (Abdullah bin al-'Abbasرضي الله عنه.) did not have time to worship idols. There are more, many more friends who did not have time, or he was born in the Islamic era, he did not have time to meet the Jahiliyyah era, he did not sit in the Jahiliyyah era, meaning he was born, his mother and father embraced Islam. Same with Abdullah bin 'Umar bin al-Khattabرضي الله عنه.. He didn't have time to sit in his parents' time This day is jahiliyyah. I love you and accept Islam. So, One of them is -An-Nu'man Bin Bashirرضي الله عنه.

As for Rasulullah, May God bless him and grant him peace.

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.

The Prophet said "Both legal and illegal things are obvious, and in between them are (suspicious) doubtful matters. So whoever forsakes those doubtful things lest he may commit a sin, will definitely avoid what is clearly illegal; and who-ever indulges in these (suspicious) doubtful things bravely, is likely to commit what is clearly illegal. Sins are Allah's Hima (i.e. private pasture) and whoever pastures (his sheep) near it, is likely to get in it at any moment."

The Prophet (SAW) said, "The example of the person abiding by Allah's order and restrictions in comparison to those who violate them is like the example of those persons who drew lots for their seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the others), so they said, 'Let us make a hole in our share of the ship (and get water) saving those who are above us from troubling them. So, if the people in the upper part left the others do what they had suggested, all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they prevented them, both parties would be safe."

that his father took him to Allah's Apostle (SAW) and said, "I have given this son of mine a slave." The Prophet (SAW) asked, "Have you given all your sons the like?" He replied in the negative. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Take back your gift then."

My mother asked my father to present me a gift from his property, and he gave it to me after some hesitation. My mother said that she would not be satisfied unless the Prophet (SAW) was made a witness to it. I was a young boy, my father held me by the hand and took me to the Prophet (SAW) . He said to the Prophet (SAW), "His mother, bint Rawaha, requested me to give this boy a gift." The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do you have other sons besides him?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do not make me a witness for injustice." Narrated Ash-Shabi that the Prophet (SAW) said, "I will not become a witness for injustice."
Hadith No: 864

The Prophet (SAW) said, "The example of the person abiding by Allah's orders and limits (or the one who abides by the limits and regulations prescribed by Allah) in comparison to the one who does wrong and violates Allah's limits and orders is like the example of people drawing lots for seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part while the others in the lower part; those in the, lower part had to pass by those in the upper one to get water, and that troubled the latter. One of them (i.e. the people in the lower part) took an axe and started making a hole in the bottom of the boat. The people of the upper part came and asked him, (saying), 'What is wrong with you?' He replied, "You have been troubled much by my (coming up to you), and I have to get water.' Now if they prevent him from doing that they will save him and themselves, but if they leave him (to do what he wants), they will destroy him and themselves." (see hadith 683, vol 3)
