Al-Zuhri said: "When Rasulullah died he was 15 years old and he was one of the last companions to die in the city of Madinah in the year 91 Hijrah."

Al-Waqidi said: "He lived for 100 years and some think that he lived for 96 years."

We end with a prayer:

It means: "O Allah, we ask You for all the good that is hastened or delayed, as well as what we know and what we do not know. We seek refuge in You from all evil, whether it is hastened or delayed, as well as what we know and what we do not know. Ya Allah, we truly ask You for the goodness that Your servant and  Rasulullah asked You for and we seek refuge in You from what Your servant and Prophet asked for protection. Ya Allah, we ask you for heaven and what brings us closer to it, both in speech and deed. And we seek refuge in You from Hellfire and what brings us closer to it, whether in the form of speech or deed.

And we ask You for all the destinies that You decide are good for us."and what we know and don't know. And we ask You for all the destinies that You decide are good for us."

The words of Allah SWT:

It means: "

Rasulullah is the Messenger of God, and the people who are with him are harsh and firm towards the infidels who are (hostile to Islam), and it is best to be kind and compassionate to each other (Muslims). You see them still bowing and prostrating, hoping for abundant grace (reward) from their Lord and hoping for His pleasure. The sign that shows them (as pious people) is their face - from the effect of prostration (and their sincere worship).

Such is the nature of those mentioned in the Book of Torah; and their nature in the Bible is: (that they are likened) to a plant that produces children and shoots, then the children and shoots nourish it, until it becomes strong, then it stands firmly on the (base) of its trunk in an amazing condition the people who planted it. (Allah made the companions of Rasulullah and his followers are numerous and strong like that) because He wanted to make the infidels languish with feelings of anger and envy - with the proliferation of the Muslims. (And besides) God has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds from them, forgiveness and a great reward."

(Surah al-Fath: 29)

Narrated: Sahl bin Saad Al-Saidi From Sahih Bukhari.

1] From Abu Abbas Sahl bin Sa'ad Al-Sa'idiSahl ibn Saʿd al-Sāʿd رضي الله عنه, he said: A man came to Rasulullah  and said: "O Messenger of Allah, show me a deed that if I do, Allah and people will love me. He said:

ازْهَدْ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُحِبُّكَ اللّهُ, وَازْهَدْ فِيمَا عِنْدَ النَّاِ يُحِبُّكَ النَّاُ

Meaning: "Be ascetic towards the world and you will be loved by God, and be ascetic towards what is in people and you will be loved by people."

Listed in: Call to Prayers (Adhaan)
Allah's Apostle went to establish peace among Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf. In the meantime the time of prayer was due and the Mu'adh-dhin went to Abu Bakr and said, "Will you lead the prayer, so that I may pronounce the Iqama?" Abu Bakr replied in the affirmative and led the prayer. Allah's Apostle came while the people were still praying and he entered the rows of the praying people till he stood in the (first row). The people clapped their hands. Abu Bakr never glanced sideways in his prayer but when the people continued clapping, Abu Bakr looked and saw Allah's Apostle. Allah's Apostle beckoned him to stay at his place. Abu Bakr raised his hands and thanked Allah for that order of Allah's Apostle and then he retreated till he reached the first row. Allah's Apostle went forward and led the prayer. When Allah's Apostle finished the prayer, he said, "O Abu Bakr! What prevented you from staying when I ordered you to do so?" Abu Bakr replied, "How can Ibn Abi Quhafa (Abu Bakr) dare to lead the prayer in the presence of Allah's Apostle?" Then Allah's Apostle said, "Why did you clap so much? If something happens to anyone during his prayer he should say Subhan Allah. If he says so he will be attended to, for clapping is for women."

The news about the differences amongst the people of Bani'Amr bin 'Auf reached Allah's Apostle and so he went to them along with some of his companions to affect a reconciliation between them. Allah's Apostle was delayed there, and the time of the prayer was due. Bilal went to Abu Bakr and said to him, "Allah's Apostle has been delayed (there) and the time of prayer is due. So will you lead the people in prayer?" Abu Bakr said, "Yes, if you wish." Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr, went forward and said Takbir for the people. In the mean-time Allah's Apostle came crossing the rows (of the praying people) and stood in the (first) row and the people started clapping. Abu Bakr, would never glance side-ways in his prayer but when the people clapped much he looked back and (saw) Allah's Apostle . Allah's Apostle beckoned him to carry on the prayer. Abu Bakr raised his hands and thanked Allah, and retreated till he reached the (first) row. Allah's Apostle went forward and led the people in the prayer. When he completed the prayer he faced the people and said, "O people! Why did you start clapping when something unusual happened to you in the prayer? Clapping is only for women. So whoever amongst you comes across something in the prayer should say, 'Subhan-Allah' for there is none who will not turn round on hearing him saying Subhan-Allah. O Ab-u Bakr! What prevented you from leading the people in the prayer when I beckoned you to do so?" Abu Bakr replied, "How dare the son of Abu Quhafa lead the prayer in the presence of Allah's Apostle?"

A drink (milk mixed with water) was brought to Allah's Apostle (SAW) who drank some of it. A boy was sitting to his right, and some old men to his left. Allah's Apostle (SAW) said to the boy, "Do you allow me to give the rest of the drink to these people?" The boy said, "O Allah's Apostle (SAW)! I will not give preference to anyone over me to drink the rest of it from which you have drunk." Allah's Apostle (SAW) then handed the bowl (of drink) to the boy. (See Hadith No. 547).
5]Hadith No: 93
Narrated/Authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Saidi
I saw Marwan bin Al-Hakam sitting in the Mosque. So I came forward and sat by his side. He told us that Zaid bin Thabit had told him that Allah's Apostle (SAW) had dictated to him the Divine Verse: "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah." (4.95) Zaid said, "Ibn Um-Maktum came to the Prophet (SAW) while he was dictating to me that very Verse. On that Ibn Um Maktum said, "O Allah's Apostle (SAW)! If I had power, I would surely take part in Jihad." He was a blind man. So Allah sent down revelation to His Apostle (SAW) while his thigh was on mine and it became so heavy for me that I feared that my thigh would be broken. Then that state of the Prophet (SAW) was over after Allah revealed "...except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame etc.) (4.95)

Listed in: Jihaad (Fighting for the cause of Allah)
Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "To guard Muslims from infidels in Allah's Cause for one day is better than the world and whatever is on its surface, and a place in Paradise as small as that occupied by the whip of one of you is better than the world and whatever is on its surface; and a morning's or an evening's journey which a slave (person) travels in Allah's Cause is better than the world and whatever is on its surface."
8]Hadith No: 2898
Narrated/Authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Saidi
Allah's Messenger (saw) and Al-Mushrikun met each other in a battle and started fighting. When Allah's Apostle (SAW) returned to his camp and when Al-Mushrikun returned to their camp, somebody talked about a man amongst the companions of Allah's Apostle (SAW) who would follow and kill with his sword any Mushrik going alone. He said, "Nobody did his job (i.e. fighting) so properly today as that man." Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "Indeed, he is amongst the people of the (Hell) Fire." A man amongst the people said, "I shall accompany him (to watch what he does)" Thus he accompanied him, and wherever he stood, he would stand with him, and wherever he ran, he would run with him. Then the (brave) man got wounded seriously and he hurried to die quickly. So He planted the blade of the sword in the ground directing its sharp end towards his chest between his two breasts. Then he leaned on the sword and killed himself. The other man came to Allah's Apostle (SAW) and said, "I testify that you are Allah's Apostle (SAW)." The Prophet asked, "What has happened?" He replied, "(It is about) the man whom you had described as one of the people of the (Hell) Fire. The people were greatly surprised at what you said, and I said, 'I will find out his reality for you.' So, I came out seeking him. He got severely wounded, and hastened to die by slanting the blade of his sword in the ground directing its sharp end towards his chest between his two breasts. Then he eased on his sword and killed himself." when Allah's Apostle (SAW) said, "A man may seem to the people as if he were practising the deeds of the people of Paradise while in fact he is from the people of the Hell) Fire, another may seem to the people as if he were practising the deeds of the people of Hell (Fire), while in fact he is from the people of Paradise."
